Competition: Irish Premier Division

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 10/11 @ Pribet

Looking to widen their buffer at the top of the table and making another heavyweight title statement, Shamrock will travel to local rivals Bohemians on Monday night.

Starting with the hosts, eventually falling to a 2-1 loss away at Waterford over the weekend, Bohemians will be desperately seeking an immediate response here. Nevertheless, despite spending the whole of last season scrapping it out at the foot of the Premier Division table, Alan Reynolds’ men have made plenty of improvements this time around. Getting Monday’s fixtures underway sat in bronze medal position and dreaming of the chance to mount a genuine European charge, the Bohs have won five of their last seven appearances and they will be excited to make a return to home soil here. Including consecutive victories against Derry City and defending champions Shelbourne, Monday’s hosts have won five of their previous six showdowns at Dalymount Park – a run that stems back over the past three months. Likewise, despite being pencilled in as a real underdog contender here, it should be highlighted that Reynolds’ side have won their last three straight meetings against Shamrock on home soil by an aggregate score of 4-1.

As for the visitors, although Shamrock might have relinquished their Premier Division crown last season as they eventually had to settle for a silver medal finish among Ireland’s elite, the Rovers have come roaring back in a remarkable fashion. Last seen over the weekend putting in another dominant display as they cruised their way to a 4-1 romp at home against Cork City, the Irish giants are storming their way to a 22nd domestic crown. Getting Monday’s showdown underway holding a commanding 11-point buffer over the chasing pack, Stephen Bradley’s side are enjoying a sensational purple patch. Getting June underway with consecutive 2-1 victories against Drogheda and Shelbourne, Shamrock will be looking to lay down another marker here. In fact, Bradley’s high-flying squad have registered 25 points from just their last nine Premier Division appearances – a run that stems back to a 1-1 stalemate against Cork City on May 2nd.

Bet: Both teams to score at Bohemians vs Shamrock Rovers 10/11 for Monday’s Irish Premier Division matchup @ Pribet
