Bellingham banned for 2 video games in LaLiga over referee abuse

Actual Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has been given a two-match ban for verbally abusing referee Jose Munuera Montero throughout Saturday’s 1-1 LaLiga draw at Osasuna.

Bellingham, 21, was proven a straight purple card late within the first half by Montero, who thought the England worldwide had directed abusive language at him.

Though Bellingham and his coach Carlo Ancelotti stated the official had been mistaken, the Spanish Soccer Affiliation’s (RFEF) disciplinary committee has imposed the ban.

On Wednesday, the RFEF stated the suspension was handed down in a bid to fight “attitudes of contempt or lack of consideration in the direction of referees.”

Madrid subsequently stated they may enchantment to attempt to have Bellingham out there for his or her upcoming LaLiga video games towards Girona and Actual Betis.

Saturday’s incident poured gasoline on a feud between Madrid, the RFEF and LaLiga, who Los Blancos lately accused of constructing “rigged selections” in a letter of criticism.

The RFEF issued an announcement on Tuesday saying referees had been sickened by the abuse Montero has acquired since sending Bellingham off.

Bellingham’s suspension doesn’t apply to UEFA competitions, so he’ll have the ability to face Manchester Metropolis within the Champions League on Wednesday.
