Nicolas Jackson joined Bayern Munich on loan from Chelsea at the start of the season, with the Bundesliga champions paying a €16million loan fee to get the services of the 24-year-old striker for 2025/26, and they have the option to make the transfer permanent next summer for €65million.

Although happy with Jackson’s performances, according to Football Insider, Bayern are not likely to trigger the option at this point. Whether that means they will try to negotiate a more favourable price with Chelsea or move for another player to provide cover for Harry Kane, remains to be seen.

Having signed Joao Pedro from Brighton and Liam Delap from Ipswich Town this summer, Chelsea consider Jackson surplus to requirements. The contract of the Senegal international at Stamford Bridge does not expire before 2033, but his future appears to be elsewhere.

Everton have reportedly expressed an interest, with manager David Moyes concerned about the form his current options up front, Beto and Thierno Barry.
