Former New Patriotic Social gathering (NPP) Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Dr Mark Assibey-Yeboah, says Vice President Dr Bawumia would make a very good President when given the nod to steer the NPP.
Talking on Accra-based Asempa Fm, Dr Assibey-Yeboah stated he was initially not supportive of Bawumia’s alternative because the NPP operating mate for the 2008 elections however he has confirmed himself over time and gained his help.
He added that Bawumia’s mastery of financial points coupled together with his zeal and exhausting work make him the best successor to President Akufo-Addo.
He stated “Once you take a look at the three Northern areas NPP has 16 seats and NDC has 15 and which means he has finished his bit to make sure that. With the sort of CV Bawumia boasts, I believe he generally is a good President if he’s given the nod.”
Dr Assibey-Yeboah added that the contributions of Dr Bawumia to the NPP’s successes “can’t be discounted”.
Vice President Bawumia is predicted to throw his hat into the NPP flagbearer race someday quickly.
The keenly contested race would see the Veep taking up former Commerce Minister, Alan Kyeremanten, Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, and different prime celebration officers.
Political analysts title Bawumia because the presumptive frontrunner with Alan Kyeremanten anticipated to be his closest challenger.
