A Nigerian lady has paid a heartfelt tribute to late Nollywood actress, popularly known as Aunty Ajara, following news of her sudden death.

The emotional tribute was shared on X by @Dorcas Oladele, who revealed that her mother had been a devoted fan of the actress and closely followed updates about her health.

According to her, her mother had frequently shared information and videos showing the actress’s condition in hospital.

She disclosed that just a week before the actress passed, her mother showed her videos of Auntie Ajara looking visibly frail while receiving medical care and relying on an oxygen tank. The visuals reportedly left a strong impression on their family.

The news of the actress’s death was broken to her in the early hours of the morning by her mother, leaving them deeply shaken.

She noted that the loss felt more personal because of how much her mother admired Auntie Ajara’s resilience and strength during her illness.

In her post, she expressed sorrow over the actress’s passing and offered prayers for her peaceful rest, adding that her mother and many fans would miss the veteran actress greatly.

Last week when I went home, my mom was showing me videos of Auntie Ajara sick and on oxygen. Then this week, she kept forwarding videos she saw on Facebook, giving me updates about Auntie Ajara’s health.

But this morning, when I called my mom, she told me that AuntiyAjara passed away at 2 a.m. today. 🕊️
