In a current growth, Eugene Arhin, the Communications Director at Jubilee Home, has strongly denied stories claiming that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo granted presidential pardons to sure people, together with Ato Essien. These stories have been fueled by the circulation of a letter allegedly signed by Kow Essuman, Authorized Counsel to the President, which recommended the pardons had been granted.

In an official assertion issued on January 5, 2025, Eugene Arhin clarified that no such pardons had been granted by the President. He referred to the circulating stories as inaccurate and urged the general public to ignore them. “The eye of the Workplace of the President has been drawn to stories circulating in sections of the media suggesting that the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has granted a presidential pardon to sure people. We want to categorically state that these assertions are inaccurate, and no pardon has been granted by President Akufo-Addo,” the assertion learn.
