Afrobeats star Asake has etched his name in the history books, becoming the first African artist to headline the U.S. edition of Red Bull Symphonic, delivering a sold-out, genre-bending show at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on Saturday.

Backed by a 33-piece orchestra, Asake reimagined fan favourites, including “Lonely at the Top” and “Terminator” , blending Afrobeats rhythms with sweeping classical arrangements. The set showcased his vocal range and stagecraft, while the orchestral layers added fresh texture to hits that already dominate dance floors and playlists.

The night also featured high-profile surprise guests. Wizkid, Gunna, Central Cee, Tiakola, and Fridayy joined Asake for special performances, including collaborations on “MMS” and “Happiness.” The cameos amplified the show’s cross-continental energy and underscored Afrobeats’ growing footprint on global stages.

In a final flourish, Asake teased an unreleased track from his forthcoming project, “Mr. Money,” sending the crowd into a frenzy and hinting at an expansive new era for his sound.
