The UK branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally endorsed President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, highlighting his government’s achievements in several key areas.

Dated May 19, 2025, the endorsement letter was handed over in London to Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, the APC National Secretary, and Muhammed Garba, Chief of Staff to the National Chairman.

It bears the signatures of APC UK Chairman Hon. Tunde Doherty and Secretary Chief Momoh Obaro, and is addressed both to the party’s National Working Committee led by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and to President Tinubu himself.

In their statement, the UK chapter commended the NWC for fostering strategic vision, upholding internal democratic processes, and ensuring broad-based participation in decision-making.

They cited Tinubu’s administration’s strides in boosting infrastructure, stabilising the economy, reforming security, and empowering young Nigerians as the primary reasons for their support.

The letter also acknowledged the president’s bold policy reforms and active diplomatic engagements, which the group said have enhanced Nigeria’s standing on the global stage.

Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, the APC UK announced plans to officially ratify this endorsement at a high-profile gathering later in the year, to which both President Tinubu and senior party figures will be invited.

“We are convinced that the remarkable achievements over the past two years justify our endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for another term,” the letter states. “In political terms, one successful term merits another.

The APC UK chapter fully supports the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda and is committed to rallying the diaspora community behind the APC and President Tinubu as Nigeria moves toward the 2027 general elections.”
