If there’s one thing we’re thankful for in 2025, it’s the emergence of handheld gaming PCs. For those of us with less time to kill than we used to have, or just stuck on ungodly commutes, being able to fire up a huge chunk of a Steam library while on the go almost feels like it shouldn’t be possible without some sort of ‘monkey paw’ recompense but here we are.

While Valve’s Steam Deck goes from strength to strength, shaking its OS all over town and Asus gets chummy with Xbox, don’t discount the Lenovo Legion Go.

In our review, we said, “It gets enough of the basics right, and is ambitious enough with its specs and control scheme that the little annoyances (Windows acting up) and occasional overshoots (a max resolution that lots of games can’t use) become a lot more forgivable. Or, at least, easier to look past.”

And, while that was in December of 2023, it’s still a great console with those nifty, Switch-like detachable pads and plenty of power under the hood. Why point all this out now? Because Amazon has a big discount at the time of writing.

Amazon has trimmed $200 off the price of the Lenovo Legion Go, bringing it to just under $500.

For that, you’re getting a Windows 10 machine (for better and for worse), as well 512GB of storage, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme powering it all.

In our testing, we found that it outperofrmed the Steam Deck on plenty of titles (but not all) and also competed with the Asus ROG Ally at 720p.
