Wilbina Jackson, the Commissioner for Training and Human Capital Pattern in Adamawa has decried low attendance of teachers and students, per week after the colleges reopened.

The faculties reopened on January 10, for the second term 2021 tutorial session all over 20 native authorities areas.

Mrs Jackson expressed the distress on Wednesday in Yola, noting that “we’ll no longer tolerate such depraved attitudes from both teachers and students.”

She added, “Authorities is taking punitive measures in opposition to any instructor or student that didn’t resume on the resumption date to operate a deterrent to others.”

The commissioner acknowledged the ministry would punish teachers and students for truancy, including that, “all public, main and secondary faculties resumed last week from New One year high-tail.

“Nonetheless, we got a chronicle that the turnout of scholars, namely in authorities faculties, is terribly low,” she added.

Mrs Jackson warned that the ministry would no longer condone the violation of its rules.
