Godwin Emezue, deputy vice-chancellor (teachers) of Abia State College (ABSU) has been abducted in Umuahia.

Maureen Chinaka, the spokesperson of the Abia police command, confirmed this in a press release on Saturday.

Chinaka mentioned the abduction occurred at 7 pm on Friday whereas Emezue was at a gasoline station in Umuekwu Amachara, Umuahia South LGA.
