The driver of a industrial bus and three passengers kidnapped alongside the Emuoha-Kalabari Toll road in Rivers Tell beget regained their freedom, after spending about 10 days in captivity.
The driver who spoke on condition of anonymity on a popular radio effect, Naija Recordsdata 92.3 Port Harcourt, monitored by our correspondent explained how the gunmen hijacked his bus.
The driver said the kidnappers hid somewhere alongside the avenue while he became once ferrying his passengers when they all of sudden appeared on the avenue and started taking pictures into the air.
“The next element I seen became once boys coming out with weapons and taking pictures into the air. That became once when I utilized the breaks.
“They hijacked the bus and took us interior a bush. We were altogether eight of us. It became once simplest seven of us they took contained within the bush,” he acknowledged.
He additional explained that of the seven persons, three were freed by the abductors earlier, while the others were taken into the bush.

When contacted, the performing spokesperson of the command Police Sing, DSP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed their release.
She said, “Yes, they’ve been launched. They were rescued with the efforts of the police.”
Iringe-Koko additional acknowledged that efforts were ongoing to apprehend the kidnappers and be traipse they face the law.
