Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, George Akume, has lamented that the wage enhance calls for being made by organised labour aren’t lifelike.

Akume spoke in Abuja on Thursday, June 6, throughout a gathering with the Nationwide Govt Council (NEC) of the Christian Affiliation of Nigeria (CAN).

He addressed the Christian group for assist because the tripartite Committee on minimal wage continues negotiations.

Whereas talking, he stated paying a minimal wage of N100,000 to his drivers can be a tough duty.

“I can not afford to pay my driver 100 thousand as a result of they’re 4,” Akume lamented. “And these different folks, dependents.”

He went on to complain in regards to the calls for being made by the organised labour, including, “The place will we get that cash from?”
