Afrigather Minister of Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike has ordered the demolition of the favored COVID-19 market in Space 11, Abuja
Director of the Abuja Environmental Safety Board (AEPB), Osi Braimah, disclosed this whereas talking with journalists in the course of the demolition of shanty shops constructed available in the market.
“The elimination of shanties and unlawful settlements in Space 11 and a few elements of the town is to curb the incessant insecurity confronted by residents.
“That is an ongoing train by varied businesses of the FCT; AEPB has been given a marching order by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to scale up demolition of all shanties, unlawful settlements, and squatter camps within the FCT.
“We’ve been doing this for a very long time, primarily as a result of this scaling up will enhance metropolis sanitation and likewise cater for the attendant downside of insecurity,” he stated.
