Tyson Fury will tackle Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia in a bout that may resolve the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Fury’s promoter stated Friday.
The date of the competition, which is able to happen within the Saudi capital, Riyadh, has not but been introduced.
Ukraine’s Usyk holds the WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight belts, whereas Britain’s Fury is the reigning WBC heavyweight champion.
“That is the most important combat that would probably be made in our sport,” stated Fury’s promoter Frank Warren.
“The heavyweights at all times spark the creativeness of the followers, and I’ve little doubt this would be the largest boxing occasion of the century.”
Fury has received 33 fights with one draw since turning skilled in 2008.
Usyk has received all 21 of his skilled bouts and defended his titles towards Britain’s Daniel Dubois in August.
