The Division of State Companies (DSS) has lastly confirmed that Godwin Emefiele, suspended Governor of the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN), is in its custody.
Emefiele was picked up by the key police after he was faraway from the highest job by a presidential order that got here by means of the Workplace of the Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation.
Nonetheless, in a press release on Saturday, Peter Afunanya, spokesman of the company, confirmed that Emefiele is in custody.
“The Division of State Companies (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative causes.
“The general public, significantly the Media, is enjoined to use utmost warning within the reportage and narratives regarding this,” the assertion learn.
