Police bust automotive theft syndicate in Jigawa

The police in Jigawa State say its operatives have bust a automotive theft syndicate and arrested two suspects which have been terrorising the state.

Spokesman of the command, DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the arrest in an announcement issued to DAILY POST on Saturday.

He stated the arrest got here after the police acquired a report by one Abduhamid Mukhtar of Kwalam city Taura LGA, that his motorcar, Opel Vectra was stolen in entrance of his home the place he parked it.

Based on him, “on 23/5/2023 at about 0300hrs a workforce of Policemen connected to Taura Divisional Police Headquarters, whereas on Patrol alongside Kano-Hadejia highway, intercepted a 23-year-old Shamsu Salisu and 22-year-old Shafi’u Yusuf all of Kwalam village Taura LGA, at Kwanar railway Taura city, with Opel Vectra Motorcar with registration quantity DUT 463 AA, inexperienced in color, strongly suspected to be stolen.”

Shiisu stated the patrol workforce instantly arrested the occupants of the car on the Divisional headquarters and handed it over to the Crime Department for investigation.

He stated the suspects confessed to having used a key of a Toyota Corolla to get entry into the stated stolen motorcar.
