Nigerian man elected first black mayor in US municipal govt

A Nigerian man, Yemi Mobolade has been elected as the brand new mayor of Colorado Springs, a neighborhood within the state of Colorado in the US.

In keeping with The Colorado Solar, Mobolade is the primary Black man to be elected to guide the town throughout political instability on account of his electoral success.

He defeated his challenger, Wayne Williams on Tuesday evening within the metropolis’s runoff contest, regardless of zero expertise in politics.

The report stated Colorado Springs has skilled a political earthquake on account of Mobolade’s victory. The report additional said that Mobolade is impartial whereas Wayne Williams is a Republican.
