Organ trafficking: ECOWAS Parliament pleads for leniency as Ekweremadu awaits UK court sentence

The Financial Group of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament has written to the federal government of the UK, interesting for leniency within the sentencing of former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu; and his spouse, Beatrice, on Friday, Could 5.

Recall that on March 23, the Ekweremadus and their physician, Obiann Obeta, having been tried for allegations of organ trafficking, have been discovered responsible by the Outdated Bailey courtroom within the UK, of facilitating the journey of a younger man to Britain on behalf of Ekweremadu’s sick daughter, Sonia, with a view to his exploitation.
