Tinubu, Shettima transfer into Defence Home forward of Might 29 inauguration


























Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Tinubu, and the vice-president-elect, Kashim Shettima, have moved into the Defence Home in Abuja forward of their inauguration in Might.

The director media and publicity Tinubu/Shettima marketing campaign, Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday, tweeted that Tinubu and Shettima have moved to the Defence Home.

Tinubu returned to the nation on Monday after a few month overseas. He had travelled to Paris to relaxation after he was declared the winner of the presidential election.

The previous governor of Lagos polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP), who had 6,984,520 votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Occasion (LP), who secured 6,101,533 votes to return third.

The Defence Home, positioned within the Maitama district of Abuja will function the residence till Tinubu and Shetima take the oath of workplace on Might 29 after which they’ll transfer to the Aso Rock villa.

Tinubu is anticipated to obtain briefings and maintain key conferences on the residence.

The president-elect was accompanied to the home by Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Abdullahi Adamu, nationwide chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the home of representatives, amongst others.
