The Jigawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has deposited N2.5 billion with the Nationwide Hajj Fee of Nigeria (NAHCON) as a part of the state’s 2023 Hajj fares.

Government Secretary of the board, Umar Labbo, advised reporters in Dutse on Friday that NAHCON allotted 1,225 seats to the state for the 2023 train.

He stated every intending pilgrim within the state would pay N2.9 million as Hajj fare as accepted by NAHCON.

Mr Labbo added that 80 per cent of the seats allotted to the state by NAHCON had been allotted to its 27 native authorities areas on the market to intending pilgrims.

He stated additionally that the board had assigned the transportation of the state’s pilgrims to AZMAN Airways.

The chief secretary urged all those that had but to finish their cost of Hajj fares to take action on or earlier than April 21.

Mr Labbo additionally recommended Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa for his help for the board.
