Not way back, Prof. Mohammed Gujbawu Haruna phoned and requested me to see him at his residence if I had been in Maiduguri.
He stated, “Maigana I see you promoting caps on Fb. I felt I ought to patronize you.”
I appreciated him and respectfully advised him that I’ll see him at evening if that’s handy for him. You can come, he stated.
I phoned him the next night to substantiate his availability. He stated that I ought to meet him on the Authorities Home the place he and his pals maintain match at evening.
I used to be broke that day. Thankfully, he linked me up with a few of his pals who purchased some caps from us. Actually, my good friend and I had been completely happy that day.
Curiously, there was one distinctive cap that caught the eye of all of them. All of them needed to purchase it. I advised him that he ought to depart it for his good friend promising him that he’ll get his personal in 7 weeks in sha Allah. And he agreed.
Just lately, I knowledgeable him that his cap can be prepared in per week. He acknowledged my message saying he can pay me in money. That was my final communication with him.
This morning, a good friend posted on his Whatsapp standing that Prof. has handed away. What a delusional world! Certainly, demise is a lesson for the clever.
He was a gentleman; very humble and easy. I ship my condolence to his household, colleagues, pals, and college students.
I knowledgeable my good friend who escorted me to the Authorities Home of the demise of our humble buyer. He was devastated however that was the desire of Allah.
Professor Mohammed Haruna Gujbawu was, till his demise, a lecturer with the Division of Mass Communication, College Maiduguri.
