Blind man beheads wife for threatening to divorce him (video)

The Nkawkaw Justice of the Peace Court docket has remanded into police custody, a 71-year-old visually impaired Ghanaian man, George Mudor, who killed his spouse in her sleep.

Mr Mudor allegedly hacked his spouse, Madam Grace, 65, with a machete on March 14, 2023, at Abepotia close to Nkawkaw within the Kwawu West Municipality of the Jap area, Ghana.

The sufferer, who was fed up with taking good care of her blind husband, is claimed to have threatened divorce.

The suspect, who turned blind 5 years in the past, then beheaded her within the early hours of March 14 whereas she was nonetheless sleeping.

The suspect mentioned his spouse of 28 years loved the blessings in his life with him and threatened to divorce him when issues turned dangerous, which is why he killed her.

Co-tenants mentioned the homicide was premeditated because the suspect had allegedly made such threats although they have been taken frivolously because of his situation.

In courtroom, he admitted to killing his spouse over her determination to divorce him and pleaded for mercy earlier than His Worship Isaac Agyei.

A brother of the deceased, Samuel Aliffo, mentioned they have been shocked by the act of the suspect and requested for justice to prevail.

Mr Mudor is anticipated to seem earlier than the courtroom on April 5, 2023.
