Cholera kills 2 in Ebonyi

Two individuals have reportedly died in a cholera outbreak at Ofenekpa Inyimagu in Ikwo Native Authorities Space of Ebonyi State.

There was a cholera outbreak in some communities in Ikwo within the final one month with over 17 individuals killed.

The member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency within the Home of Representatives, Chief Chinedu Ogah, had intervened within the outbreak by offering some medical assistances to the affected group.

However yesterday two individuals died within the outbreak of the virus at Ofenekpa group.

Ogah, the Deputy Chairman, Home Committee on Poverty Alleviation, had mobilised a medical workforce, led by Dr Chukwu Okwudiri of Nnamdi Azikiwe College, and Ananda Marga Common Reduction Workforce (AMURT), to intervene within the outbreak which had killed not lower than two indigenes of the group.
