2023 elections: Anambra Police obtain three CPs, AIG

The Anambra State Police Command has acquired an Assistant Inspector Common of Police and three commissioners of police within the state forward of Saturday’s election.

Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga who said this in a press assertion mentioned the officers had been acquired by Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng.

Ikenga mentioned: “Anambra State Police Command at the moment 22/2/2023 acquired the newly deployed Assistant Inspector Common of Police, AIG Eboka Friday, and three Commissioners of Police posted to Zone 13 headquarters, Ukpo.

“AIG Eboka Friday, earlier than his posting because the election supervisor of Zone 13, comprising of Anambra and Enugu instructions, was the AIG answerable for Zone 16.

“He shall supervise the three commissioners of police deployed to the state’s three senatorial districts [and also] the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, Echeng Echeng, for the 2023 Common Elections.”

The commissioners deployed to the state embody DCP Yusuf A. Apaje for Anambra North, CP Julius A. Okoro for Anambra South and CP Selem V. Amachere for Anambra Central.

The command, in accordance with Ikenga, urged the individuals of the state to come back out en masse to train their franchise and vote for candidates of their alternative, as enough deployments have been made to make sure that elections are peaceable, hitch-free and secured.
