The Nationwide Universities Fee has ordered the closure of universities throughout the nation to permit college students take part within the 2023 basic elections.
In a letter addressed to vice-chancellors of all universities and administrators of inter-university centres, the NUC famous that the directive was based mostly on the directive of the Minister of Schooling, Adamu Adamu.

Adama Adamu has following in depth consultations with the related safety companies, directed that every one Universities and Inter-College Centres be shut down and educational actions be suspended between February 22 and March 14, 2023.
“Consequently, Vice-Chancellors and chief executives of inter-university centres, are by this Round requested to close down their respective Establishments from Wednesday twenty second February 2023 to Tuesday 14th March 2023.
“Please, settle for the renewed assurances of the Govt Secretary ‘s highest regard on your understanding and unwavering cooperation”.
