The Nigerian Correctional Service has dismissed 9 officers and retired 25 others compulsorily for misconduct.

The service’s spokesman, Umar Abubakar, said on Sunday that 4 others had been issued with letters of warning.

The assertion quoted the controller-general of the service, Haliru Nababa, as saying the selections after approval by the Civil Defence, Corrections, Hearth and Immigration Board.

The prisons boss warned that there could be no room for indolence or indiscipline within the service.
