Benue youths mob two to dying over witchcraft

Two folks had been reportedly mobbed to dying by irate youths at Mbaaku Mbasombo in Gwer East Native Authorities Space of Benue State over the alleged killing of individuals by way of witchcraft.

The mobbed victims had been Kwaghange Ugbu and Atuur Shaaja. They had been reportedly dragged with a rope across the village and subsequently crushed to dying.

When contacted, the Benue State Police Command Spokesperson, Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspects had been at present on the run.

“That incident is confirmed. The suspects are on the run. The boy died mysteriously within the farm so some youths stated it was his father and the uncle that killed him by way of witchcrafts.

“They now beat up these two males untill they died alleging that they killed the boy by way of witchcrafts.

“It has develop into a problem in Benue State that they must be enlightened. Within the villages, these issues occur and we now have been speaking to them and charged so many to courtroom.
