Benue governors have been looting state since 1976, APC guber candidate claims

The governorship candidate of APC in Benue, Hyacinth Alia, says his predominant mission in politics is to liberate Benue folks from endemic poverty, accusing previous governors and army directors of the state of “unconscionable” looting of public treasury.

In a press release issued on Sunday, Mr Alia stated he had resolved to liberate the folks of Benue from incompetent management.

He defined that the time had come to cease “the unconscionable looting of public funds, poverty and financial backwardness” that had characterised Benue since its creation on February 3, 1976.

“Successive rulers of the state have failed to deal with the plight of the ruled and have did not harness the large pure and human assets of the state for the good thing about the citizenry,” he stated.

Mr Alia additional disclosed that he had put collectively a “daring and strategic complete plan of motion, aimed toward reinvigorating key areas of the state’s native economic system.”

He burdened that the blueprint would spur financial progress, generate productiveness and prosperity and enhance the usual of residing of Benue residents.
