EXPLORER is a documentary about Ranulph Fiennes, who led the primary expedition to circumnavigate Earth from pole to pole with out recourse to flight.
Its topic emerges slowly from snatches of previous documentaries, interviews, house motion pictures and headlines. The movie touts Fiennes’s unknowability: a dangerous technique for these new to the person and his achievements, although in time it pays off handsomely for director Matthew Dyas.
