Police nab suspected “one likelihood” robbers in Ondo

The suspects are Akin David, 36; Kayode Akinlosolu, 42; and Adekunle Blessing, 32.

SP Funmilayo Odunlami, the command’s Public Family Officer (PPRO), made this known in an announcement on Sunday.

Ms Odunlami outlined that on April 16, at about 5: 35 p.m. at Roadblock on Benin/Owo/Ilesha freeway, Akure, two females (names withheld) boarded a taxi and one of them became once robbed of her Infinix Dapper 5 phone.

The PPRO acknowledged the taxi driver ordered the females to alight midway into the hotfoot, claiming that the cab became once no longer going their capacity.

“The case became once reported to the police and through intelligence gathering the three suspects had been arrested with the taxi marked BDR 743XA and one stolen itel android phone became once also recovered from them.

“Within the course of interrogation, the suspects confessed to be serial robbers whose space of strong level became once the employ of taxis to engage unsuspecting voters who board their automobile inside of the bid and have interaction them of their telephones and different valuables,” the PPRO acknowledged.

Ms Odunlami, attributable to this fact, urged contributors of the public to be responsive to their ambiance and the vehicles they board whereas touring.
