Police express security operatives rescued 39 kidnap victims in Zamfara on Sunday and arrested 10 suspects, including the outlawed Yankasai participants.

Police commissioner Eyuba Elkanah introduced this on Monday in Gusau, bringing up that the operatives rescued the victims kidnapped in March and early April at deal of villages and areas in Bungudu and Maru native authorities areas.

“The rescued victims are eight male, 15 female including nursing moms, and 16 younger folk. The victims had been treated by the joint police and allege authorities scientific groups and debriefed by detectives,” acknowledged the police chief.

He added, “They’ll be handed over to officers of the 2 native authorities areas to reunite them with their families.”

Mr Elkanah moreover mentioned that police seized in the neighborhood-fabricated weapons, one stolen Honda automobile 2012 model and 4 motorcycles from the bandits.

“There might be (an) ongoing clearance operation by the joint police and protection power task power at Dabar Magaji camp located at Kadanya wooded space between Kaura Namoda and Maradun native authorities Areas,’’ the police commissioner acknowledged.

Receiving the victims, the Emir of Bungudu, Hassan Attahiru, commended the police for their labor.

“We’re very grateful to the police for their sacrifice and labor. I commend Governor Bello Matawalle for supporting the police to discharge their responsibilities,” acknowledged Mr Attahiru. “I call on governments at all phases and assorted stakeholders to proceed to present the police important make stronger.”

In separate remarks, Bungudu and Maru native councils chairmen Sadiq Maiturare and Salisu Dangulbi commended the police for rescuing the victims.
