Their love story, as shared by Fona:

In classic Nigerian fashion, our journey began with mutual friends who played cupid and believed that two people they loved deserved each other just as much. Okiemute and Idara made the introduction; we simply followed the destiny they confidently arranged. Ugonna was described as a teacher, proudly rooted in Nigeria, emotionally present, and completely uninterested in relocating abroad. I, on the other hand, am a tailor with a thing for teachers because I know their reward is in heaven. What followed was one month of late-night WhatsApp conversations; voice notes, laughter, curiosity, and subtle attempts to understand the person on the other side of the screen.

What we meant by vision of ethereal beauty 😍

Then came the first meeting. He arrived in a pink shirt, wearing a fragrance that announced his presence before he did. I smiled. He smiled back. And in that moment, something unspoken but undeniable settled between us. Conversation flowed. Time forgot itself. And somehow, without trying too hard, two strangers became something much more familiar. Today, our story is one of intention, laughter, friendship, admiration, and a love that continues to grow quietly, confidently, and beautifully. And now, here we are, choosing each other, every day, forever.
