HEIDI GIOKOS RACIALLY ATTACKED ONLINE

On her Facebook account, Heidi Giokos posted screenshots of her online critics who questioned her work as an eNCA reporter.

Many found fault with her line of questioning of President Trump on his views of “white genocide” in South Africa.

While some labelled her a “liberalist”, others mocked her interracial relationship with fellow media colleague, Lindokuhle Xulu.

One Afrikaner man commented: “Jou man is seker ‘n stuk swaart aap wat op jy klim elke aand [Your husband is probably a big ape who climbs on you every night”

Another added of Heidi: “Hope she becomes a statistic.”

Heidi Giokos and Lindokuhle – now the spokesperson of PUTCO – have been in a long-term relationship, as seen in their social media posts of each other.

DONALD TRUMP AND ‘WHITE GENOCIDE’

Last week, Heidi Giokus’s question to US President Donald Trump made headlines around the world.

The eNCA reporter attended the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where she had an opportunity to get the attention of the American leader.

She asked: “What will it take for you to believe that there is no white genocide in South Africa?”

Trump responded: “We have seen the numbers, we have seen the records. It is taking place, and it’s got to be stopped”.

Heidi later reported on the liaison: “It’s an important question I had to ask. It’s a perception that is being created about South Africa that does not exist. The statistics speak of that. South Africa is being treated in a certain manner by the US because of this perception of a ‘white genocide’”.
