Paris Saint-Germain have reopened their pursuit of Victor Osimhen only a few months after the Super Eagles forward joined Galatasaray permanently, Soccernet.ng reports.

PSG’s renewed interest is an indication that manager Luis Enrique has unexpectedly reversed his long-standing opposition to signing the Nigerian striker, according to a Goal.com report.

The reigning Champions League winners are now prepared to rival Real Madrid, who have also been linked with a move for Osimhen in recent days.

For months, former Barca boss Enrique had resisted the idea of bringing Osimhen to Paris, reportedly concerned that the forward’s fiery temperament might disrupt the team’s balance. But internal discussions at PSG have shifted sharply in recent weeks.

Declining performances from Gonçalo Ramos, coupled with limitations in the team’s attacking structure, have forced a strategic rethink.

The reports suggest that PSG sporting director Luis Campos, who has maintained discreet links with Osimhen during his time at Galatasaray, has now been given approval to intensify negotiations.

The club views next summer as a realistic window for a deal, with Enrique no longer vetoing the profile he once dismissed. The shift is understood to reflect growing pressure on PSG to rejuvenate their frontline.

Galatasaray, however, remain firm in the short term. The Turkish champions are refusing to entertain winter discussions, determined to keep their marquee forward until the end of the season. But there is quiet recognition in Istanbul that a significant offer, likely north of €100m, could eventually alter their stance. The club paid €75m to sign the striker from Napoli and are confident of turning a major profit.

Barcelona are also monitoring the situation closely as they begin planning for life beyond Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires next June. The Catalan interest adds a further layer of complexity to a saga already fuelled by Enrique’s dramatic change of heart.

Victor Osimhen: Real Madrid ready mega move as Kylian Mbappe factor shifts landscape

While PSG reorganise their strategy, Real Madrid have quietly accelerated theirs. The Spanish giants are preparing an offer exceeding €100m for Osimhen as they look to reshape their attack and restore Kylian Mbappé to his favoured left-wing role next season.

Madrid reportedly consider Osimhen the ‘pure striker’ missing from their current setup: a powerful, direct, instinctive goalscorer capable of providing the focal point the team has lacked. His intensity, pace and box presence are seen as ideal complements to Mbappé’s movement on the flank.

Negotiations with Galatasaray are expected to be complicated. The Turkish champions want full value for their record signing and believe they can exceed the €75m they invested. With PSG, Barcelona and other top European clubs circling, the final fee could easily surpass €100m.

Madrid’s interest has been intensified by growing uncertainty around Vinícius Júnior’s future. The Brazilian has reportedly refused to discuss a contract extension until internal tensions at the club are resolved, particularly his strained relationship with manager Xabi Alonso. His situation could open the door for a more permanent restructuring of Madrid’s attack, giving Mbappé the left side and Osimhen the central role.

Osimhen has scored six goals in only three Champions League games this season to top the goalscorer board and remind many of his elite qualities
