GREENVILLE, S.C. – Greenville based Windsor Aughtry Company, announces the completion of $5 million in renovations across two of its hotel properties: SpringHill Suites by Marriott Roanoke in Virginia and Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge Downtown in Louisiana. The projects were completed in partnership with longtime management company partner Hospitality America. This is the first SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel in the Hospitality America portfolio, and it’s fourth Marriott brand.

“These renovations demonstrate Windsor Aughtry’s dedication to long-term value creation in the communities where we invest,” said Bo Aughtry, Chairman and CEO, Windsor Aughtry. “By continually reinvesting in our properties, we are ensuring that guests enjoy high-quality experiences while also supporting local economic growth.

The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Roanoke features 127 guestrooms, a Lobby Bar, indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour convenience market, onsite laundry, and 856 square feet of meeting space. Renovations include fully refreshed guestrooms and suites, a redesigned lobby and public spaces, and upgrades aligned with Marriott’s latest brand standards.

Located near Berglund Center and Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the hotel is approximately one hour from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University campus in Blacksburg, a key location during peak university events.

“During game days, special events, graduation, and parent weekends, hotels in Blacksburg and nearby Christiansburg fill up quickly or become extremely expensive,” said Daniel Lock, VP Commercial Strategy at Hospitality America. “Roanoke is a major metropolitan area with more hotel options than the immediate Blacksburg area, creating year around demand from conference events, faculty, prospective students, sports fans, and alumni.

University Markets Spur Growth

The Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge Downtown is located in Baton Rouge’s business district, one mile from the downtown area’s Louisiana’s Old State Capitol and Raising Canes River Center Arena events. This hotel is near Southern University, A&M College, and Louisiana State University. It features a meeting space, business center, fitness center, and convenience market.

“Like Virginia Tech in Roanoke, being near three universities drives consistent business,” Lock said. “By tapping into diverse guest segments (academic, business, sports, leisure, and family travel) this hotel has become the go-to option for visitors looking for comfort, convenience, and a welcoming environment in Louisiana’s capital.”

Renovation at the Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge Downtown includes all new guestrooms, revitalized public spaces, and expanded food and beverage offerings. A standout feature of the renovation is the introduction of self-serve beer and wine taps, providing an innovative amenity for both business and leisure travelers.

“We are grateful for Windsor Aughtry’s continued investment in these hotels,” said Ben Campbell, Hospitality America’s CEO. “Their commitment to elevating the guest experience allows our team to deliver on our promise of exceptional hospitality, and we are proud to bring their vision to life through day-to-day operations.”

The renovations underscore Windsor Aughtry and Hospitality America’s continued collaboration to strengthen its hotel assets across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
