The Recording Academy has unveiled nominations for the 68th Grammy Awards, and it’s a year of big headlines and fresh tweaks. Kendrick Lamar leads the field with nine nods, his second consecutive year topping the ballot, while Lady Gaga follows with seven.
African stars earn prominent recognition, with Burna Boy, Davido, Ayra Starr (featuring Wizkid), Tyla, and Eddy Kenzo & Mehran Matin landing spots in Best African Music Performance.
Two categories debut this cycle,Best Album Cover and Best Traditional Country Album,and the Academy has retitled its former “Best Country Album” to Best Contemporary Country Album. Winners will be announced at a star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles on February 1, 2026.
