Leverkusen head coach Kasper Hjulmand has revealed Super Eagles winger Nathan Tella is edging closer to full fitness after missing two months of action, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 26-year-old last played for Die Werkself in their 3-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt at the Bay Arena.
Tella was initially diagnosed with a bruised knee, but upon further checks, it was discovered that the knee problems were more than a bruise.

The former Southampton winger has been working hard to get back to peak physical condition, but his recovery journey has had setbacks.
Tella set for return after the International break
Ahead of Leverkusen’s clash against Heidenheim this afternoon, the club’s coach mentioned the Super Eagles star should be up and running after the November International Break.
“Nathan [Tella] and Axel [Tape] are currently training individually,” the Danish manager said in quotes revealed by Leverkusen’s official website.

“The international break will do them good, and then they will also get into team training.
“I hope and believe they’ll be back after the break. Lucas [Vazquez] needs a little more time,” the 53-year-old concluded.
Leverkusen have been on a good run since bringing in the former Denmark coach to replace Erik Ten Hag at the Bayer Arena dugout.

They’ve won seven games, drawn three, and lost just two games under their new coach. They’re currently 5th in the Bundesliga, ten points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
