With a 9-7 win over Flat Rock, Rising Starr claimed the county middle school football championship.
“This win was extra special because the kids have worked tirelessly throughout the summer and long hot days in August and September,” said Rising Starr coach Ryan Ross. “We, as a coaching staff, could not be more proud of the effort and dedication they have displayed.”
The title game victory capped off an undefeated season for the young Panthers.
“This is a special group of kids. We have great kids that come from great families. Our parents trust us to coach their sons hard, and the kids do anything we ever ask of them,” said Ross. “Our guys are leaders on the field and in the school. We are excited to see what they do over the next few years.”
