Full schedule for the 2026 Premier League Darts season as Luke Humphries seeks to defend his title at London’s O2 arena.

In 2026, the Premier League will head to Belgium for the first time, with Antwerp replacing Exeter in the calendar. The season will begin in Newcastle on Thursday February 5, while the final will take place at The O2 arena in London on May 28.

Last year, Humphries’ 11-8 win over namesake Luke Littler earned ‘Cool Hand’ a cool £275,000, with the runner-up pocketing £125,000 and beaten semi-finalists Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn Price taking home £85,000 each.

“With the Premier League, we have always be conscious of the fact it is heavily UK focused which is obviously the heart bed of darts and the home of the PDC but increasingly we are becoming more of a global sport,” said PDC Chief executive Matt Porter.

“There is a demand for events from audiences not just in Europe but in the wider world.

“But we have to be realistic, for a one night show, there is only so far we can go with the players and infrastructure and all the stuff like that.

“With what has happened in Belgium in recent years, Antwerp was the logical choice for us.

“It is difficult, we have to make tough choices about venues.

“Exeter has always had a fantastic atmosphere and we are extremely conscious of the fact that we do not have a lot of activity in the South West.

“But there is a derth of venues and we have to look at which venues we feel can take the game forward.

“We definitely aren’t ruling out going back there but for now, it is not going to be on the list.”

When asked if we can expect a change in the Premier League format, Porter said that the Premier League is always evolving but there will be no announcement yet of what can be expected in 2026.

“We have always said that the Premier League is at its best when it evolves,” he added.

“Over the 20-odd year life span, it must have had six or seven formats and we try and implement what is best at the time.

“We have had this one in place since 2022. It has certainly improved the experience for the fans in the venues – getting a nightly winner is something that means something and it means something to the players, but we are also conscious of not becoming stale.

“We are not making any announcements yet. It is obviously not going to stay how it is forever but it is just whether it has these legs for 2026 or not.”
