The transfer window in the top five leagues closed on Monday, so Ademola Lookman has to look elsewhere…

Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce have sent a bumper offer to Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports.

Since last year, there have been strong reports that Lookman wants to leave Atalanta. Then, in February, after an issue with former Atalanta coach Gian Pero Gasperini, it was reported that an agreement had been reached to let Lookman leave in this summer’s transfer window.

Understand plan remains for Ademola Lookman to LEAVE Atalanta this summer.

Atalanta will try to clarify the situation with Gasperini in the next 24h after strong quotes… but won’t change future plans.

In the last three months, Lookman has been linked with clubs like Arsenal, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich. But it was Inter Milan that put in the first bid for him.

They offered Atalanta €45 million, but La Dea rejected it despite Lookman’s public request to leave.

Eventually, the Nerazzurri pulled out of the deal. In the closing hours of the transfer market, Lookman was linked with clubs like Tottenham and Bayern Munich, who need to sign attackers.

However, their loan offers were rebuffed by the former Europa League champions.

The transfer window in the top five leagues closed on Monday. And this means that Lookman has to explore other options outside the top five leagues - Turkish Super Lig or the Saudi Arabian Pro League.

Ademola Lookman Has Admirers in Turkey

Ademola Lookman’s name has been floated around Galatasaray over the last few days, and he seems like a potential target for the Cimbom, given the remarkable success they’ve had with Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen. But, they have not made their move yet.

Now, in a recent development, per Fanatik, Fenerbahce have taken the initiative. They have offered Lookman a four-year contract with a significant 200% pay rise which would see him earn up to €6 million yearly.

It is unconfirmed if they are willing to pay Atalanta’s €50 million valuation of the player, but it would be a big heist for them.

For Lookman, while the pay is enticing, playing outside the top five leagues isn’t. But if he doesn’t accept their offer, he will have to remain at Atalanta.
