Nicolas Jackson is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich from Chelsea on the final day of the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

Bayern, who won the Bundesliga title last season, have agreed to pay the Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup winners a £14.2 million loan fee with an obligation to make the deal permanent for a further £56.2m, which is based on appearances.

The report has added that Jackson is now completing the formalities of a deal. There were doubts on whether Chelsea would let the striker leave on loan after Liam Delap suffered an injury this past weekend, but things have been sorted now. Jackson has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea after the Blues signed Delap and Joao Pedro earlier in the summer transfer window. A move to Bayern would see the Senegalese star compete with former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
