Marcus Rashford is willing to play wherever he is needed as he looks to establish himself at Barcelona.

Rashford came on from the bench to help Barca beat Vissel Kobe 3-1 in their first pre-season friendly on Sunday.

The England international, who has joined on loan from Manchester United, played 33 minutes, going back off in the 78th.

Rashford played primarily off the left flank, but the 27-year-old is willing to fill in anywhere in Barca’s attack as he aims to solidify a place in Hansi Flick’s team.

He told Barca’s official channels: “The reason I’m here is to help the team try to win.

“So I’m going to listen to whatever information I need to listen to and try to put it into the game and help the team go forward.

“I can play over different positions. It’s one of my strengths, to play across the front line.

“I’ll play where the team needs me and try to score goals and create goals from those positions.”

Despite playing for just over 30 minutes, Rashford had four touches in the opposition’s box, with only Dani Olmo (five) having more among Barca’s squad.

Explaining why he limited Rashford’s playing time, Flick said: “He’s a week behind the others.

“He hasn’t been training as much with the ball, and we want to look after him.”

Rashford will aim to feature for longer when Barca take on FC Seoul on Thursday.
