Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have the option of signing former TS Galaxy striker Dzenan Zajmovic, who is now a free agent.

The 30-year-old Bosnian forward scored eight goals in 25 matches for the Rockets last season. He was rumoured with a move to North Africa but the striker affirmed his love for South Africa.

Speaking to KickOff, Zajmovic revealed that two PSL teams have contacted him recently but did not disclose the names. Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates could be some of the teams which spoke to the striker.

“Two clubs have already contacted from the PSL. South Africa is a nice country with a good league, and I would love to continue playing there at a new club,” Zajmovic told KickOff.

“I felt at home and will never shut a door for anything to do with South Africa, and my wife and kids know about it. It was an amazing experience being in South Africa.

“Football was good, and the life was also the same, so there was a connection to being in a good mental space and playing football.”

Kaizer Chiefs have brought in one striker during the transfer window period but after two pre-season matches, it looks like new signing Flavio Silva will have a tough season.

Should Chiefs sign Zajmovic?
