Manchester United defensive midfielder Casemiro has decided to stay at Old Trafford, according to The Mirror. With the former Real Madrid star back in the Brazil squad under new manager Carlo Ancelotti, he believes that his best chance of making it to the 2026 World Cup finals is to stay at Man United.
Man United have been looking to offload Casemiro, with the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners keen on trimming their wage bill. The Brazilian midfielder has interest from the Saudi Pro League, but it seems that he wants to stay put at Old Trafford.
Under Amorim last season, Man Utd endured a hugely disappointing campaign. Not only did the Red Devils finish 15th in the Premier League table, but they also lost the Europa League final 1-0 to fellow English club Tottenha Hotspur, who ended the league campaign just a place above the bottom three.
