The Lagos State Police are questioning Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock Church in Lagos after a video showed him holding something that looked like a gun.

In the clip from June 6, 2025, he rolled down his tinted car window, raised an object like a pistol, and spoke softly. The person filming quickly said, “Boss, boss, sorry sir,” before Adefarasin drove off.

After the video went viral, the pastor said the item was not a real gun and that he never aimed it at anyone. Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that Adefarasin turned himself in at the Ikeja headquarters and is now talking to detectives.

The police are investigating because the car was unregistered and the pastor appeared to point a gun-like object at another road user.
