Born on 1 July 1940 in Igbide, Delta State, Normal Omu was a soldier, statesman, and group chief whose life exemplified obligation, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism. A proud son of the Isoko folks, he rose from humble beginnings to turn out to be considered one of Nigeria’s most revered army and public figures.
