Catastrophe administration groups have been positioned on excessive alert by MEC for Cooperative Governance and Conventional Affairs (Cogta) in KwaZulu-Natal, Rev Thulasizwe Buthelezi, following a stage eight climate warning, reported Arrive Alive.
In response to the climate alert issued by the South African Climate Service (SAWS), disruptive rains are anticipated in components of KwaZulu-Natal from Monday, 6 January to Wednesday, 8 January 2025.
Rainfall in extra of 150mm is predicted in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday, probably persisting until Tuesday, 7 January. These are the areas that may very well be most affected within the province.

WHAT TO DO TO ENSURE SAFETY?
- Keep indoors and off the street.
- Keep away from crossing flooded roads or swollen streams the place water is above your ankles.
