Arkansas DOT Worker Struck and Killed in Work Zone by DOT Truck

A 29-year-old Arkansas Division of Transportation employee was struck and killed on November 26 will selecting up site visitors cones in an energetic work zone on Freeway 32 in southwest Arkansas.

The Arkansas Division of Public Security reported that Brandon Lee Jones of Emmet, Arkansas, was standing on the rear bumper of an ARDOT work truck whereas he picked up site visitors cones. He then fell from the transferring truck and was struck by “the AR-DOT work truck,” a 2017 Ram 3500.

ARDOT Director Lorie Tudor issued the next assertion relating to Jones’ dying:

“It’s with heavy hearts that we share the lack of one in all ARDOT’s personal, 29-year-old Brandon Lee Jones. Brandon died Tuesday morning, November 26, in a tragic accident whereas working in an energetic development zone alongside Freeway 32 in Southwest Arkansas.

“Security is all the time our primary precedence at ARDOT. Our staff put their lives on the road each day working in susceptible highway situations. Studying that we misplaced one in all our personal in a piece zone weighs heavy on your complete ARDOT household. Our ideas and prayers are with Brandon’s family members.”

Native media studies stated officers hadn’t decided if the fall or the car have been the reason for dying. KARK reported Jones started working for ARDOT in July. 

Simply two months in the past, a development employee in Arkansas was killed by a car rushing by way of a piece zone throughout a high-speed police chase.
