Remi Wagner, a ballet dancer performing with the Milwaukee Ballett II dance firm, has died.
Wagner’s demise was shared by Milwaukee Ballett II in an announcement shared on social media on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. No explanation for demise was given.
“We’re deeply saddened to share the passing of Remi Wagner, a dancer with our Milwaukee Ballet II Second Firm,” the corporate stated in its assertion. “Remi had been a beloved member of the Milwaukee Ballet household for the reason that begin of the 2023/24 season, and all of us enormously grieve his surprising loss.”
They expressed condolences to his household and mates and pledged to hold on his reminiscence in creating the ‘artwork he cherished’.
“Our ideas and prayers are along with his household, mates, and all others whose lives he touched along with his kindness and fervour. We are going to carry Remi’s reminiscence with us as we proceed to create the artwork that he cherished,” the assertion concluded.
Remi Wagner initially hailed from Colorado and skilled with the San Francisco Ballet. He began ballet dancing at age 6 in Colorado, becoming a member of the San Francisco Ballet College as a trainee in 2021.
At SFB, he carried out in Helgi Tomasson’s Nutcracker, was a featured dancer in Myles Thatcher’s “After Mild”, danced varied roles in Giselle, Cinderella, Seasons, and many others., and choreographed his function in Stereo is King.
Wagner gained 1st place for each classical and up to date ballet on the Youth America Grand Prix, the world’s largest scholar ballet scholarship competitors. He has been a visitor artist for Panama Youth Ballet and Bolshoi Ballet Spring Pageant (Moscow).
Within the 2023/24 season, Wagner joined Milwaukee Ballet II Second Firm the place he carried out till his premature demise.
